Using specialized 3D software, the scanned models of selected samples from series-produced parts can be compared to the original CAD geometry. This allows the mapping of the geometric deviations and the evaluation of accuracy of the sample immediately. With this method, form and dimensional tolerances can be inspected in a single step.
